H. -Are you HUNGRY? Feeling hungry is a state of being that we often ignore due to schedule restraints. You wouldn't expect your car to operate with no fuel in the tank, so why are you expecting yourself to operate without fuel in your tank? Take a minute to ask yourself, 'Am I hungry?' If the answer is YES, take the time to fuel your body!
A. -Are you ANGRY? Perhaps someone said something to you that was upsetting. Maybe a situation didn't work out as you planned and it left you feeling frustrated. Take a minute to ask yourself, 'Am I angry?' If the answer is YES, take the time to visit revisit Tool #2 Forgiveness and/or Tool #5 Emotional Tool Box so you can let go of your frustration or anger and move on with your day.
L. -Are you LONELY? As human beings, we need connection with others. It's easy to isolate ourselves when we aren't feeling our best. Ask yourself, 'Am I lonely?' If the answer is YES, take the time to reach out to a friend, neighbor or relative. There is a very good chance that the person you reach out to may be feeling the same way.
T. -Are you TIRED? Sleep is so important to our mental and physical health. Demands of work and family life often hamper our ability to sleep well or long enough. Take a minute to ask yourself, 'Am I tired?' If the answer is YES, take a nap or schedule an earlier bedtime so you can get the rest your body and mind need. Revisit Tool #4 The Power of Sleep
